Junior League – Ages 12–14

Step Up to Full-Size Fields and Big-League Play

The Junior League Baseball Division is built for boys and girls ages 12–14 who are ready to play on a full-sized baseball diamond and compete at a higher level. This program marks a significant transition in skill development, introducing athletes to advanced game dynamics and regulation field dimensions.

Players compete on a 90-foot diamond with a 60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance, mirroring high school and professional field specifications. Some leagues may use modified field dimensions during the regular season to support gradual adjustment.

What Players Gain:

  • Experience on full-size fields

  • Development of advanced pitching, hitting, and fielding skills

  • Exposure to higher levels of team play and game strategy

  • Readiness for high school competition and beyond

Tournament Pathway:

Players ages 12–14 may be selected to represent their league in the Junior League International Tournament, with the ultimate goal of reaching the Junior League Baseball World Series. All travel, meals, and housing for World Series participants are fully covered by Little League International.

Parent Involvement Matters:

Parent volunteers are an essential part of Junior League’s success. Whether as coaches, umpires, or league assistants, your support helps keep the league strong and engaging for all participants. All volunteers must complete a background check and application.
